Amelia De Leon Esquivel, 85, entered eternal rest October 9, 2026, in Asherton, Texas. Mrs. Esquivel was born September 16, 1941, to Guadalupe Lerma De Leon and Jesus De Leon Sr. in Asherton, Texas. Mrs. Esquivel is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 28 years, Jesse Esquivel.

Amelia is survived by her sons, Dimas Hernandez and wife, Sonia, Jerry Esquivel, grandchildren, Delilah Hernandez and partner, Matthew Mendoza, Derek Jay Hernandez and partner, Abby Rodriguez, Dominick Rey Hernandez and partner, Sabrina Perales, great grandchildren, Malina Grace Sifuentes, Dillon Matthew Mendoza, Gisselle Mae Hernandez.

The Esquivel family will honor their loved one on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church which will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Cemetery in Asherton, Texas.
