Avelardo Puente, 56, of Carrizo Springs, Texas passed away on April 2, 2025. Avelardo was born on April 25, 1968, in Carrizo Springs, Texas to Andrea Alicia Santos and Andres Duran Puente.

Avelardo is preceded in death by parents.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Guadalupe Ybarra Puente; daughter, Laura Linda Puente; son, Luis Andres Puente and wife, Miranda R. Puente; brothers, Andres Puente Jr., Alberto Puente, Adrian Puente; sisters, Mercedes Ybarra, Isabel Perales, Diana Cerda, Florinda Perez, Dahlia Puente, Alicia Martinez; grandchildren, Noah Scott Enriquez, Luca Avel Puente, Jonah Andreas Puente, Olivia Rose Puente, and Micah Adriel Puente.

The Puente family will honor their loved one on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Guadalupe Cemetery #4.

Serving as pallbearers will be Luis Puente, Andres Puente Jr., Adrian Puente, Adan Perez, Amanda Pippin, Armando Ybarra, Jesus Treviño, and Mario Treviño.
