Carmen Jung, 92, went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2025. She was born June 11, 1933, in Carrizo Springs, Texas. She is survived by her Granddaughter Kristen Zarecor of Waco, Tx, Stephanie Zarecor and her great grandchildren Kaleb, Kalyn and Kalani. Carmen was preceded in death by her Husband Kenneth Jung and Daughter Cynthia Zarecor.

Carmen was born and raised in Carrizo Springs and graduated from Carrizo Springs High School. She was also so proud to be the first in her family to attend college and later become a teacher where she loved teaching and eventually retired.

Carmen loved to read and she really enjoyed her time outside taking care of her yard. Carmen lived a long, beautiful life full of precious moments and memories and she will be remembered for her kind heart, her love for Jesus and her fiery personality. My grandma was the rock to our family, and she will be forever missed.

The Jung family will honor their loved one on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
