Engracia A. Santoya, 84, entered eternal rest, January 18, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. Mrs. Santoya was born on April 16, 1941, to Petra Patlan Alvarez and Crescencio Alvarez. Mrs. Santoya is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 31 years; Ricardo M. Santoya, daughter; Frances S. Garcia, grandchildren; Noel Nañez Jr., Vanessa Nañez, siblings; Miguel Alvarez, Crescencio Alvarez Jr., Pedro Alvarez, Manuel Alvarez, Juanita A. DeLeon, Maria Ellena Alvarez, Marcelina Alvarez, Pascal Alvarez, Antonia Alvarez, and Manuel Alvarez.

Engracia is survived by her daughter; Julissa Santoya, Pat Nañez (Noel), brother; Maximian Alvarez (Maria), along with granddaughters; Michelle Nañez (Eddie) and Raquel Avila (Philip).

The Santoya family will honor their loved one on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Guadalupe #3 Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be R.J. Betancourt, Ruben Alaniz, Rene Betancourt, Eddie Gonzales, Pete Alvarez, Manuel Gonzales, Sisto Gonzales, and Ruben Ortiz Jr.
