Ernesto Mata, 64, entered eternal rest, February 12, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Mata is preceded in death by his parent and brother, Hector Mata.

Ernesto is survived by his wife of 41 years Beatrice Mata; daughter, Irene Mata; sons, Ernesto Mata Jr., Eric Mata; brothers, Ronaldo Mata, Alberto Mata; sisters, Maria Teresa Mata, Norma Mata.

The Mata family will honor their loved one on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Asherton where a funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Inurnment will follow at a later day.
