Estela S. Morones, 88, entered eternal rest on Sunday, May 24, 2026, in Carrizo Springs, Texas. Mrs. Morones was born in Sonora, Texas on January 21, 1938, to Manuela A. Salazar and Andres Salazar. Mrs. Morones is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband of 67 years, Rodolfo G. Morones, daughter, Sandra M. Saenz, siblings, Roberto Salazar, Gloria Rodriguez, Ermila Ramoz, Andres Salazar.

Estela is survived by her children, Sylvia S. Morones, Melissa M. Guerra, Rodolfo S. Morones, Estela Evonne Garcia, Yvette M. Guevara, siblings, Rosemary Kyle, Ismael Salazar, along with 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The Morones family will honor their loved one on Monday, June 1, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 ​PM to 9:00 ​P​M. A rosary will begin at 7:00 ​P​M. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a funeral mass will begin at 10:00 ​A​M. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Saenz Jr., Rolando Guerra Jr., Michael Guevara, Robert Guevara Jr., Jacob Garcia, Jaime Garcia Jr., Eric Guerra, Nicholas Guerra. Honorary pallbearer will be Isaac Guerra.
