Feliz Lopez, 88, entered eternal rest on October 2, 2025 in Carrizo Springs, Texas. Feliz was born in Carrizo Springs, Texas on July 10, 1937, to Petra Menchaca + and Domingo Lopez +. Mrs. Lopez is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband; Julio Lopez Sr., sister; Estella Torres, brothers; Antonio Lopez, Santiago Lopez, and Juan Lopez Sr.

Feliz is survived by her daughters; Maria Bernal, Anita L. Aragon and husband, Fidel, Blanca L. McHazlett and husband, Robert, son; Julio Lopez Jr. and wife, Betty, sister; Rosa Lopez along with 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild.

Feliz considered her greatest achievement to be her children, whom she loved unconditionally and devoted her life to. Before raising her family, she was a talented vocalist and was a member of "Las Hermanitas Lopez," a family band where she sang along with her sister Rosa and her male siblings played the instruments. Through this, she had the opportunity to meet and sing with other musicians and travel, experiences she cherished deeply. A faithful child of God, Feliz always prayed for her family. She also found joy in simple pleasures, such as spending quality time with her family, listening to music, and watching movies. Her warmth and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The Lopez family will honor their loved one on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Leonard Funeral Home from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm. A rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning from 8:30 am to 9:30 am, after which the family will proceed to the church for a 10:00 am funeral mass at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Carrizo Springs. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Bernal, Julio Lopez III, Roberto Lopez, J.J. Galindo, Marcus Galindo, Jonathan McHazlett. Honorary pallbearers will be Julio Lopez Jr. and Blanca McHazlett.
