Florinda R. Vargas, 76, entered into eternal rest, December 14, 2023, in Carrizo Springs, Texas. Miss. Vargas is preceded in death by her parents, Juan De La Cruz Vargas and Anita Romero; brothers, Miguel Vargas, Alfredo Vargas, Benito Vargas, Juan Vargas Jr.; sisters, Eufemia Abrigo, Maria De Refugio Vargas, Maria Perez.

Florinda is survived by her brother, Felix Vargas. She had no children of her own but dedicated her life to raising two generations of nieces and nephews, whom all loved her as a mother. Florinda was a feisty God loving woman who loved everyone with an open heart. She will be missed dearly.

The Vargas family will honor their loved one on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9 pm. A rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Carrizo Springs where a funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Guadalupe #4 Cemetery.
