Hector V. Gonzalez Jr., 56, entered eternal rest on Saturday, May 30, 2026, in Uvalde, Texas. Mr. Gonzalez was born in Carrizo Springs, Texas on November 13, 1969, to Mary M. Gonzalez and Hector V. Gonzalez. Mr. Gonzalez is preceded in death by his father.

Hector is survived by his mother, Mary M. Gonzalez, daughter, Lauren Elise Gonzalez, son, Nathan Brooks Gonzalez, brother, James M. Gonzalez, sister, Jennifer Gonzalez, nieces, Mariah G. Alvarez, Felisha Dawn Rios, Delilah Hernandez, Malina Grace Sifuentes, nephews, Matthew Ryan Mendoza, Dillion Matthew Mendoza, Noey Alvarez, Noah James Alvarez, and Steven Perales.

The Gonzalez family will honor their loved one on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church where a funeral mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Guadalupe Cemetery in Asherton, Texas.

Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Gonzalez, Matthew Mendoza, Dustin Martinez, Rolando Rivera, Jimmy Chapoy and Luis Conrrado Carrillo.
