Jesus Vargas Panalez, 77, entered into eternal rest, September 25, 2023, in Carrizo Springs, Texas. Mr. Panalez is preceded in death by his parents Eduardo Panalez and Maria Simona Vargas; brothers, Clemente Tapia, Eduardo Panalez, Manuel Panalez; sisters, stepson, Roel Ramon.

Jesus is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Maria Ramon; sons, Jesus Panalez Jr., Hector Moreno Panalez, Benito Moreno Panalez, Ronaldo Ramon, Rocky Ramon, Ricky Ramon; daughters, Yvonne Panalez Cervantez, Irma Hernandez, Griselda Treviño; sisters, Suanna Panalez Aranda, Maria Elena Panalez Rodriguez, Rebecca Panalez Reyes, San Juanita Panalez Galindo, Lydia Vargas Wrede; twenty-six grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

Jesus enjoyed watching sports. His favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns and the San Antonio Spurs. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

The Panalez family will honor their loved one on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Leonard Funeral Home from 4:30 pm to 9 pm.  A rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Church in Asherton. Interment will follow to the Guadalupe Cemetery in Asherton.
