Jo Ellen
Chitty
Jan 8, 1943 — Mar 5, 2024
Jo Ellen Chitty entered into the arms of Jesus on March 5, 2024 in Carrizo Springs, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Born to James Wilks and Joan (Eoff) Glasgow on January 8,1943 in Comanche, Texas, Jo was the second of three strong-willed women. Jo met her husband, Wayne, in 1977 and she was immediately swept off her feet. Over the next 46 years, they built a life and family that some can only dream of.
She was an exemplary mother, friend, and human being. Jo embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love, strength of spirit, and an unending generosity that could be seen in the care she gave her husband, children, and grandchildren. Despite her large family, Jo always made time for everyone and provided them with unwavering support and endless love.
Jo was preceded in death by her parents, father/mother-in-law Roger & Laura Chitty, sister Lou Ann Shotts, brother-in-law Bob Birge, nephew Ray Teague, grandson RJ Guidry, and great-grandson Noah Bradley. She is survived by her husband, Wayne, and 6 children Brad Langford (Sue), Lorrie Langford Guidry, David Langford (Rhonda), Rodney Chitty (Paula), Donnie Chitty (Barbara), Karen Ramirez (Gabe), 37 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren. Also left to carry on her memory include her sister, Jan, and numerous other family and friends.
