Jose Alvaro Zubia, 72, entered eternal rest, June 28, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Zubia is preceded in death by his parents; Maria (Garcia) and Manuel Zuvia, sisters; Rebecca Cervantez and Yolanda Zuvia.

Jose is survived by his wife of 49 years; Juana Becerra Zubia, daughter; Jessica Foerster and husband, Tim Foerster, son; Jose Alvaro Zubia Jr. and husband, Scott Dinger, siblings; Celia Gamez, Maria Elena Villastrigo, Alicia Menchaca, Jovita Montez, Manuel Zuvia Jr., and Irma Garcia.

The Zubia family will honor their loved one on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mario Gamez IV, Conrad Zuvia, George Cervantez Jr., Joevanie Cervantez, David Menchaca Jr., Manuel Zuvia III.
