Margarita Avila, 99, of Carrizo Springs, Texas passed away on March 17, 2025. Margarita was born on June 10, 1925, in Asherton, Texas to Elena Diaz Casiano and Ramon Casiano.

She is survived by her daughters Maria Luisa Vega, Anita Riojas, Silvia Avila; sons, Jose Avila Sr., Abelardo Avila, Ricardo Avila, Rodolfo Avila; Brother, Rodolfo Casiano and 215 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great -great grandchildren.

Margarita is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Simon Avila; daughters, Dora Rios, Diana Avila; son, Simon Avila J r.; brothers, Fernando Casiano, Atilano Casiano, Eusebio Casiano; sisters, Consuelo Casiano, Petra Berumen, Katarina Guevara and Ramona Dominguez.

The Avila family will honor their loved one on Monday, March 24, 2025, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. A rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 25th at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Carrizo Springs where a funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m.
