Maria Belinda Castillo was born on August 1, 1941, in Asherton, Texas, and went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2023, in Round Rock, Texas. She is survived by her daughters Maria Mina Vargas, Norma Esquivel, Sophia Garza, Graciela Prock; son, Juan Pablo Vargas; sisters, Yolanda Escobedo, Nevolena Mendoza, Maria Elma Puente; brothers, Juan Silva, Maclovio Silva Jr.; 25 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents Maclovio Silva and Maria Dolores Cortez.

A visitation was held on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral procession left at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 mass on July 25, 2023, to the Asherton Baptist Mission Church. Interment followed at the Asherton Guadalupe Cemetery. Services under the direction of Leonard Funeral Home.
