Petra M. Ramos, 98, entered eternal rest, January 11, 2026, in Edinburg, Texas. Mrs. Ramos was born on April 29, 1927, to Concepcion Serna and Porfirio Montemayor. Mrs. Ramos is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Luis Ramos Sr, grandson, Oscar Jr.

Petra is survived by her daughters, Rosa Rice (Oscar Sr. +), Olga Lahti, Irma Sanchez (Albert), son, Luis Ramos Jr. (Jane), grandchildren, Stephanie, Robert Jason, Jennifer, Priscilla, Marco, Roseana, Omar and Zachary.

The Ramos family will honor their loved one on Monday, January 19, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 20,  2026, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
