Reyes Velasquez, 93, entered eternal rest, September 14, 2026, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Velasquez was born January 6, 1933, to Maria Campos and Jesus Velasquez. Mr. Velasquez is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife of 60 plus years, Jacinta Cervantez Velasquez, son, Reyes Velasquez Jr., daughters, Christina Velasquez Lozoya, Carolina Velasquez, Yolanda Velasquez Dominguez, granddaughters, Kristy Lozoya, Ruthie Lozoya, Anastasia Velasquez, grandson, Joshua Lozoya.

Reyes is survived by his son, Pedro Velasquez, grandchildren, Manuel Lozoya, John Lozoya, Miguel Ricardo Velasquez, Bernice Aguirre, Dominique Dominguez, Jason Dominguez, Melissa Velasquez, Vanessa Martinez, Tracy Titsworth, Pedro Velasquez Jr., Andrew Velasquez, Justin Velasquez, Matthew Velasquez, Elias Velasquez, as well as 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.

The Velasquez family will honor their loved one on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Michaels Catholic Church in Big Wells, Texas. Interment will follow at the St. Michaels Cemetery.
