Ricardo "Riche" Avila, 66, entered eternal rest, February 26, 2026, in Carrizo Springs, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Avila was born September 27, 1959, to Margarita C. Avila and Simon Avila Sr. Mr. Avila is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Simon Avila Jr., Dora Rios, and Diana Avila.

Ricardo is survived by his daughter, Irma Vanessa Ramirez and husband, Oscar, sons, Ricardo Jose Avila, and Jesse Avila; Daughter, Analisa Avila granddaughter, Rikki K'Annah Barrera, bonus grandsons, Oscar Ramirez, and Anthony Ramirez, brothers, Jose Avila Sr., Abelardo Avila Sr., Rodolfo Avila Sr., sisters, Anita Riojas, Maria Vega, and Silvia Avila.

The Avila family will honor their loved one on Monday, March 9, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A rosary will begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where a funeral mass will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mario Avila, John Jesse Juarez, Simon Avila III, Lauro Rios, Nathan Canales, and Johnny Rey Davila. Honorary pallbearer will be Oscar Ramirez and Franky Garcia.
