Victor R. Mata, 51, entered eternal rest, April 29, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Mata was born on March 18, 1975, to Florinda Reyes Mata and Jose Luis Mata. Mr. Mata is preceded in death by his parents.

Victor is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Jossette C. Mata, children, Denise Mata, Stefanie Mata, Emilio Mata, Victor Mata Jr., siblings, Jose Luis Mata Jr., Maria Guadalupe Mata, grandchildren, Elayna Rae Mata, Eliana Grace Mata.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Emilio Mata, Brayden Moreno, Kobe Blackthunder, Victor Mata Jr.  David Balderas, Omar Ojeda, Alex Deluna and Juan F. Mata

The Mata family will honor their loved one on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at Leonard Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at the First Baptist Church where a funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at the Guadalupe #4 Cemetery.
